Jade Dynasty
Humans:
The human race sought out for immortality. In doing so, some of the humans tryed to use the immortality for good, and some were planning to use it for evil. So they split up into factions, working together to try and find the answer for immortality. In the begining there were two good factions (Jadeon, Skysong), and there were three evil factions (Modo, Lupin, Vim). They continue their search for immortality, which side will you choose?
Jadeon: "The Jadeon are one of the two good human factions (Skysong being the other), and are the "glass cannons" of the game. They possess very powerful ranged and Area of Effect (AoE) attacks (damaging many enemies around a specific point, usually the casting character.), but low health and defense. It is considered by many one of the classes that can level up the fastest, due to its being the main AoE faction of the game."
Skysong: "The Skysong are the healers of the game. They are very valuable in group combat due to their ability to cast skills that benefit, and heal, their allies. They have low defense and attack power but are very resilient due to their heals. They are thought to be the most cost-efficient class to use because of their heals, which make it useless to buy healing potions and be able to save those received from the Treasure Box and they use staffs as their weapons."
Modo: "An incredibly versatile class, which is very bad early-game but becomes incredibly powerful at levels 90 and over. They can transform into three forms, the first being Demonic Posture, a melee form that focuses on improving their health, attack, and defense, but lowering their resistances to effects like the aforementioned Paralyze. The second form is the Modon form, which is the main form used in PvP situations. It focuses on improving resistances and spirit (mana/sp), and using ranged bleeds and attacks. The third form is the normal Human form, which can cast powerful AoE attacks. The power of this class is the unpredictability and versatile range of attacks. This class is not recommended for players new to this game due to the effort it takes to master it. They use the fangclaw, a claw that is attached onto their hand."
Vim: "The "tanks" of the game (though this term cannot really be used as there is no need for tanks in Jade Dynasty due to the lack of any dungeon system), along with their Athan counterpart the Balo. Originally a faction for Good but their disregard for life and careless fighting style has isolated them from the Jadeon and Skysong factions. They have very high health and defense, and are very easy to use and efficient in the early stages of the game due to their survivability and, in PvP cases, their annoying ability to stun and paralyze other players. They are said, however, to lose a lot of this efficiency in the endgame, as most players will have matched their survivability and will have acquired the sufficient amounts of resistance to ward off the paralyze and stun effects that the Vim can cause. They also have the ability to attract monsters attention from other pl,ayers due to agro effects. Their weapon is the duoblade, a blade with a hilt and two edges protruding from each end of the hilt."
Lupin: "The Lupin are the human assassins, sharing the role with the Athan faction of the Rayan. They focus only on single-target skills (they only receive one area of effect skill, while all other factions except the Rayan receive 3 or more.) and 'buffs' that increase their damage or critical hits. They really shine in player versus player (PvP) situations due to their high damage and two of their skills (Ancient Prayer and Thicken Blood) that radically improve their maximum health. They use the glaive, a round weapon with 2 to 4 edges wrapping around it. When shown in combat, the glaive spins at a very high speed around the hand of the Lupin player and will be thrown towards the opponent at close range."
Incense Mage (new): "Incense Mages are one of the human factions that are on the side of good, like Jadeon and Skysong. They focus on fire-based attacks, and have skills that grow stronger based on the number of party members you have. The Incense Valley Mage faction is a blend of support and massive damage, using powerful array skills to strengthen their party and incinerating their foes with flame spells. They can attack from a long distance, making them powerful strikers."
Athan:
"Ever since the rise of humans, the world has been at war. The humans, who have acsended to a power never not meant for them, find themselves embroiled in a war with the gods. For too long the immortal Athans have waged war, trying to quell this human insurrection. But humans are nothing if not resilient, and they have held their own against the Athans."
Rayan: "The Athan's Lupin counterpart, they possess the power to hide in the shadows, making them invisible to monsters and players alike. They can summon shadows, clones of themselves that can attack, use skills, and be used in devastating combinations with the caster. Their power is in their skills that can transfer damage and debuffs to the shadow, teleport to the shadow, etc. The Rayan also possess great melee damage potential. Invisibility will not shield them from substantially higher level players' view. They use 2 scythes as their weapons."
Arden: "The archers of Jade Dynasty, a fox-demon, they can also summon plants and wild beasts which can induce status effects on monsters and players, each skill tier contains a different plant and beast, to aid them in battle. Their attacks have the longest range, surpassing that of the Jadeon and Modon Form Modo. They lack health and defense, but often kill a monster before it can get to range due to their great DPS. They have the ability to shape shift into a fox, raising their speed and resistances exponentially but making them unable to attack. In 'normal form' they have ears and a tail which you can alter the color of."
Balo: "The Balo were forged by the Immortals to represent pure brute strength. Combining the inner power of the fiercest human warriors with the invulnerability of molten rock, the Balo are known to be indispensable front line warriors. Created specifically to put a stop to human Ascension, the Balo's hulking size and strength will strike fear into all enemies who stand in their way. The Balo use axes as their weapon of choice, and many of their skills focus on their brute strength. The other tanking class of the game, they wield axes and focus, much more than the Vim, on health and defense. They do not, however, have much potential in dealing damage, another drawback is they are quite slow levelers compared to other Athan (and human) factions."
Celan: "The Celan faction is the absolute embodiment of grace and elegance. With superior capability as a support healer as well as various blessing and curse skills the Celan is sure to prove their worth in a variety of situations. A truly unique aspect of the Celan is their choice of ornately crafted zithers as their primary weaponry. The haunting melodies that they create will often prove to be the final song their foes will ever hear. Armed with the power of music, Celan are masters in the art of Reflective damage. Many Celan skills will have a chance to cast a skill reflective shield for a certain period of time. The Celan also have a mastery of powerful Area of Effect curse and blessing auras, which are perfect for group PvP. Celan also have many Musical Combo skills. These, depending on their rank, have a certain amount of slots on the skill in which to place Notes. Each Note has a different effect, and all can be stacked."
Forta (new): "The Forta are one of the Athan tribes, but they disappeared long ago; no one knows why they have begun to reappear, not even their Athan brethren. In sharp contrast with this is their brutally simple fighting style, pummeling enemies with gauntlets or their bare fists. The Forta use cestuses are their primary weapon: battle gloves wrapped around metal to make their punches lethally strong. They train themselves to master powerful skill combinations; they’re also masters of buffing their own power. The Forta also have fighting stances that are so powerful that they visibly change the character’s size. These operate somewhere between traditional buffs and postures: they have a duration, but only one of the stances can be active at one time. Whatever they are, they give huge bonuses. A word of advice: If you’re fighting a Forta and it’s suddenly twice as tall as you are, run. At maxed-out skill levels and tomes, one of these stances more than doubles Attack Power and HP. This does come at the cost of increased skill casting time, but the Forta also have stances that lower Attack Power in exchange for shorter casting times."
Esper:
"The main purpose of an Esper is to Invigorate, otherwise known as botting. This allows the time requirements of high levels to exist without the frustration of the grind itself. Your character will be able to grind on hundreds or thousands of monsters while you are away, gaining EXP and picking up items by itself, while using healing items when its health is low. The first two slots on the main Esper bar are for Esper skills only. Very few Espers will have more than one skill, so the second slot will usually be empty. The third slot contains Health potions that the Esper will use whenever the character's health drops below a certain level. Similarly, the fourth slot contains Spirit potions that will be used automatically. The fifth slot contains vigor potions and the last slot contains Esper Energy items (such as Lunarshade Stones). The secondary Esper bar (which can be shown by clicking the little arrow button in the upper right of the main Esper bar) is where you can place items and skills to be used in regular intervals. The first three slots are for items, and the remaining slots are for skills. Skills placed further to the left on this bar will have higher priority. If you click on the bottom button on the Main Esper bar, this will open the Invigorate Settings panel. This panel is used to set what monsters the Esper will target, and how far it will stray from its starting point. You can also tell it whether or not to fight your quest monsters only."
Upgrading Espers: "Each time you cast an Esper's bonus skill (which is automatically placed in slot 1 or 2 of the main Esper bar), the Esper will gain 1 point of Proficiency. The purple bar on the bottom of the Esper represents its Proficiency. When this bar fills up, the Esper will gain a level, which will increase the stats the player gains from equipping it. Wyvern Blood and Tiamat Blood in the Marketplace can also increase your Esper's Proficiency. An Esper's level is based on your own level."
Skyblades: "The button on the right side of the main Esper bar is used to activate a Skyblade, if you have one equipped. Skyblades require level 45 to equip. Your Esper Energy must be completely full in order to start using a Skyblade, and you cannot be in combat or on a mount. Unlike Invigorate, Esper Energy will be consumed while flying on a Skyblade, regardless of your character's level. Skyblades have Proficiency just like Espers do, represented by the bottom bar of the main Esper bar. Proficiency increases slowly while you are using your Skyblade. As it reaches certain levels, its speed will increase and it will look slightly different."
Transform: "The button to the left of the Invigorate button is used to Transform. Transform Gems can be purchased from the Transform Vendor in Sunstream and the Divine Realm. These items allow you to transform into a type of monster, which changes how you look and increases your stats slightly. Esper Energy will be consumed while you are transformed."
"Esper Mystics have a variety of other functions that can be used with Espers and/or Skyblades:"
Catalyze: "Select this option to increase an Esper or Skyblade's Proficiency using an item such as Wyvern Blood (for an Esper) or a Zephyr Seal (for a Skyblade)."
Bloodsmelting: "Select this option to combine two Espers together into a more powerful version. A Bloodsmelting medium is required in order to combine two Espers. These can be obtained by trading Treasure Bowls or Spirit Dust with Tonni in Sunstream City, or by combining Esper Tomes and Accessories through Crafting with certain recipes."
Assimilate: "Select this option to combine a variety of other items with your Esper, such as resetting its skills using a Tawen Gem."
Cleanse: "Select this option to reset the owner of an Esper or Skyblade that you have acquired from another player. This action requires a Cleanse Stone found on the Marketplace."
Pets:
Your pet is your NPC companion. You get your first pet in your box at lvl 15. You can also get pets from doing the companion quests from Pet Tamer Totto in Sunstream. You can buy pet gear to increase its stats. Some/most pets evolve (not the ones from the companion quest), you can do this buy buying celebeans from the Marketplace or from other players. Then you take the celebeans to Totto and trade it for a Gem that can be used on your pet to increase its stats ( it would help more if it is a stat that is low). Then. after you train it at the pet master it will have a higher "grade", when the grade gets up to 12 you will be able to evovle your pet. You can also set it a task when it is not needed in battle so it can get items, and eventually these foraging skills will level and you will get more/better items.
Alliances:
"An Alliance is comprised of multiple Clans. Besides having more people available to help and having better communication with friends, there are Alliance quests, Alliance Wars, Fort Sieges and other benefits."
Clans: "Clans are the basic organization that provide players with a circle of colleagues to socialize with. Clans are frequently made up of players who know each other in real life, though mixed groups are not uncommon. Clans also provide their members benefits such as Clan skills and Clan-specific quests. The leader of a Clan is called the Chief. Clans can hold a maximum of 15 characters, but Clans can form Alliances with other Clans in order to work together with a larger number of players. A character must be at least level 20 to join a Clan. If you haven't yet found a Clan to join by the time you are level 25, you can form one yourself. Talk to the Clan Master and select the Form Clan option to establish your Clan."
Once you hav reached level 35, and are the chief of a clan, you can pay 30 gold to form an alliance.
Positions:
Marshal- the person who formed the clan, the person with all the power within the alliance.
Warlord- second in command, can do some but not all the marshal can do.
Captain- third in command, can only invite other clans into the alliance.
Wars:
"Wars can be waged between Alliances. The challenging Alliance will pay 50 Construction to declare war. To declare war on another Alliance, the Marshal or Warlord can select an enemy Alliance member, right-click on its avatar, and select Alliance War to challenge. An Alliance War takes 60 minutes. During the Alliance War members of both Alliances receive no PvP penalties. After the war, the Alliance that killed most foes wins the war." Rewards are large amounts of EXP and items for clan/alliance events.
Skills:
"Press the 'R' key in-game to open the Skills panel. The left side of this panel will display any skills of your faction that you have already learned. The right side of this panel will include the skills for your current tier, with a + symbol in the bottom right corner of any skills you are currently able to learn. Most skills require a certain level, as well as a certain number of ranks in the skill above them in the tree. Each Skill costs 1 Skill Point to learn. The "Skill Tree" subheader will allow you to view what skills can be learned by other factions, or by other Tiers in your own faction."
Skill Progression:
"Once a human character selects their faction at level 15, they still need to spend at least 8 points in their Initiate skills before allocating points into Tier 1 skills. At least 24 points must be spent in Tier 1 in order to begin spending points in Tier 2. The remaining Tiers all require 24 points in order to move on to the next Tier.
Since Athan characters do not have an Initiate tier, they must spend 32 points in Tier 1 before they can spend points in Tier 2 skills. The remaining Tiers all require 24 points in order to move on to the next Tier." I suggest that when using your skill points that you only put the requisite amount for the next skill until you have all of the skills, then you can use the remaining skill points on the ones that you want to upgrade to make sure that you get all of your skills and that you dont make any mistakes. If you do happen to make a mistake on your skill points you will get a Jaki stone in your box at level 55, you can use that to reset your skill points.
Tome:
"Press the 'R' key in-game to open the Skills panel. Click on the Tome button on the top right of the Skill page to bring up the Tome panel. Right-clicking on any of the Tome Skills will highlight it, and highlight any of your faction skills it affects. Right-clicking on one of your faction skills will highlight it, and any Tome Skills that affect it. Each Tome Skill costs 1 Tome Point to learn. There will be a + symbol in the bottom right corner of any tome skills you are currently able to learn. Most skills require a certain level, as well as a certain number of ranks in the skill above them in the tree before you can learn them. The "Skill Tree" subheader in the faction skills window will allow you to view the skills that can be learned by other factions. Selecting another faction here, then clicking the Tome button, will show you that faction's Tome page.
Tome Skills can be upgraded by using Faction Charms. Each charm will add one rank to the Tome Skill."

Ascension:
"Ascension is a process that can be accomplished through a quest reached upon achieving Tier 5 or by having a large enough amount of honour, piety, charity, culture or renown. Your character will be reset to level 15 and you have the ability to change factions within your race, for example changing from Vim to Modo, with very large attribute bonuses and different skills depending on your initial and final class. You can ascend at any point over Tier 5 but your character will be stronger if you wait to ascend till 150. A new mandatory quest chain will be opened, and you will have access to many new areas, new gear, new skills, and the affinity and chroma systems."
Other:
Affinity- "Upon reaching level 90 ascended, your character will receive a new Mandatory quest called "The Divination". Upon completing this quest you will choose between three Affinities - Dagos, Felkin, or Fuwa. Affinities grant extra skills, five of which are faction specific. There are other skills available to all characters possessing that particular affinity. You may only have one affinity at the same time, but some items in the Marketplace can enable you to switch affinities. The affinity skills from the previous affinity will not be able to be used, but if you choose to revert to the original affinity, the skills will automatically be at the level before the affinity change.(e.g., a Dagos Modo switching to Felkin Modo, thus gaining access to the Felkin skills, but not being able to use his Fuwa skills anymore. If he/she changes back to Dagos, he will be able to use the Dagos skills again, at the level that they were when he/she switched to felkin.) Chosing an affinity allows the player access to a whole new map dependant on their faction."
Chroma- "Once the character reaches level 120 ascended, and has chosen an affinity, the character is able to learn chroma skills. The first one is chroma burst. Three of the chroma skills are improved affinity skills. Four of the chroma skills are improved tier-5 skills. Three of the chroma skills are passive skills. Five of the chroma skills are general chroma skills that are not faction specific. Players will not lose their chroma level from switching affinity."

Marketplace:
"Looking for that extra kick in-game? Try the marketplace, press 'J' in-game to view the many items that are available to players. Once you have charged ZEN, you will need to transfer it to your server. Doing so will convert it into Jaden, which is the Marketplace currency. You can now purchase items from within the marketplace in Jade Dynasty!"
1) "If you need to charge ZEN, you can click the charge button as shown here."
2) "The menu across the top has many tabs, all containing various items for players to purchase, take a look around."
3) "Using the Wolf Totem as an example, each item will have a name, quantity, Duration and Price associated with it. To purchase the Wolf Totem simply click the Buy Button and enter the amount you desire to purchase."
Marriage:
"In Jade Dynasty, male and female characters can get married to each other."
Marriage benefits:
-"Online notice: You will be notified when your spouse is online/offline."
-"Embrace: You can Embrace your spouse (the male carrying the female)."
-"Romance Skills purchased using Romance points, allowing you to help out your spouse."
"In order to get married, both characters must have a Wedding Ring in their inventory, which can be obtained by:"
-"Completing Romance Quests until both characters have 9999 Romance points, then spending those points on Wedding rings."
-"Opening Wedding Packs found on the Marketplace (each wedding pack contains one ring, as well as a wedding fashion set and a scroll that grants a special romance title to the user)
Once both characters possess a Wedding ring, they should form a party with the male character as the leader. Both characters can then acquire the marriage quest from The Eldest matchmaker in Sunstream City. After the male character turns in the quest, they will be married. Upon getting married, a server wide message is broadcast stating the name of the two players being married. You can also purchase fireworks from the Marketplace to make the day more beautiful."
Master/Apprentice:
"Once the Master/Apprentice relationship has been formed, the Apprentice may obtain quests (by speaking to Tao Danush in Sunstream City). The quests obtained by the Apprentice, while not requiring the Master to be present at the time it is obtained, do require the Master to be present and within a Party in order to defeat the Monsters (as they are likely more powerful than the Apprentice). The Master should be the party leader.
Upon completing the quest, the Apprentice is awarded with a large sum of experience, 30 Taichi Pills and 3 Bundles of HP Pills of various quality (depending on the Apprentice's level). Quests may be repeated as many times as desired (up to 3 times a day). New quests available to the Apprentice at Level 1, 30, 45, 60, 75 (not so much ‘New’ but rather the same exact quest updated with more appropriately leveled Yellow Pill reward items). The quests obtained by the Master are only available if the Master is the Party leader.
Once a day speak with Tao Danush in Sunstream City while in a Party with your Apprentice and accept the "Expertise Training" quest. The Master must be the party leader. Both the Master and Apprentice receive a quest titled "Expertise Training", but the Apprentice quest has different objectives than the Master quest.
Completion of the quest will award the Master with 50 Expertise points and 10 Taichi Pills. The Apprentice is awarded with 70 Taichi Pills and 50 Violeta Stones. Coincidentally, being in a Party with a lower level character (the Apprentice) will also award the higher level character (the Master) with Charity points when they level up."
